Hi

I need a trustworthy Corgi engineer who would be willing to talk me through exactly what my boiler system does and doesn't do (as I've just moved into the property and don't have a clue), quote on possible replacement of the controls as they are very dated, and also help me with a problem on the central heating. I have hot water but radiators are not heating up (although they did only a few days ago so I really don't know what is wrong with the system...it's a glow worm). I also have a cylinder as emergency back up.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks! :)

call glow worm 01773 828100 for a maintenance contract.

The obvious question is why do you want a CORGI in Oxford when you are shown as being in London?

It also is not clear if you are expecting to pay the CORGi or are expecting him to come and advise you free?

As you clearly have a fault it would be a chargeable visit. We dealt with a similar fault in London today and it cost £84 + £34.

PS
I am a paid up member of the Association of Registered Gas Installers unlike Tony, who is not.

Yep, I am expecting to have to pay for the work (unless of course some kind soul wants to do it for free).

I have also just bought the property in Oxford which is why I need a tradesperson in that area. I had a tradesman attend an emergency call-out (on my insurance policy) on Sunday as there was an electrical burn smell coming from the cylinder cubboard. At this point the heating was working fine. He had a quick look at the boiler, said it needed a service and after he left the heating then wasn't working. Now my insurance won't send someone back to sort the heating out as the tradesman commented the boiler needed a service. I wasn't impressed. So now, I would like someone who could have a look at the whole lot and help me sort these issues once and for all. I don't mind paying for good and reliable service of course. Thanks guys :)
