Hi,
My boiler has been working fine for years, until yesterday when I had no CH and an 8 displayed. After spending the next 12 hours on here and other sites, I have identified the following.
I am looking for suggestions as a few plumbers that I have called won’t entertain it and would only replace... which seems a little drastic as it works fine, usually.
1) Pin in diverted valve freely moves when pressed
2) When motor is disconnected CH kicks in very warm (without no 8 displayed )
3) When pin is down DHW is slightly warm (with no 8 displayed & T1 lower than T2)
4) Honeywell stat and control unit doesn’t turn CH on or off
5) Motor cable has been tested for power and only is live on one pin (only one cable out of the three on PSB to motor carry’s power)
