Hi Guys,

I've recently moved into a flat that as a vokera 24se compact installed. the boiler is in a bit of hard to reach place. Am wondering if there is any keypads that can be installed that would provide me with all the controls i.e Timer/Water only/Heating and water? am not looking for a thermostatic control as all the rads have individual trv's.

Thanks Richard

All the rf programmers I know of are thermostats as well, but you could just leave it turned up on manual and use the programmer function or turn the trv up to full in the room you fit the stat in and use the full functions of the rf unit as per latest building regs.

thanks for the quick reply, i was having a look at the Danfoss TS715si on screwfix. would this suit my needs?

If you had a Vaillant, yes. Vokera - I doubt it, but let's wait for one of our Vokera specialists to confirm!

If I'm not fitting my usual Vaillants and controls I always fit the Siemens REV 23RF to any installation.

Get your coat

Earlier cheapo installs (pre Part L) could use 100% TRVs and the boiler cycled on it's internal thermostat. Crap but commonly found, particularly with budget installs.

oh. one sleave on, ............

I only asked becasue i asked about ours some years ago

You still need a time control AND a room thermostat.

Honeywell CM921 or 927 - best of the market and very simple to set up.

And take the head off the TRV nearest where the room stat is going to be fitted. Put the decorators cap back on it instead.

Latest regs are trv's on all rads except one in room with room stat and programmer giving seperate time base for heating and hot water. These are not retrospective and only need updating when a new boiler is installed.

Well, I work post Part L. This install was obviously pre Part L.

But considering the OP's question, and latter statement I would say he is looking for something that doesn't really exist, and thinks that what DOES exist is superfluous to his needs when it is actually EXACTLY what he needs and would pay for itself extrememly quickly.

and is also incredibly easy to install - but don't say I said that ;).
