I need to put my shed onto the main house alarm, but its pretty impractical to run a cable to it, Does anyone know of a REMOTE CONTACT or PIR that i could use, ie have the base unit near the panel, and the sensor/transmitter in the shed

From my experience id say have a look at the scantronic rf stuff, the 7 series
You can get a standalone reciever that will take upto 2 wireless devices and give seperate relays per device.
