Removal of plastic coating from a bath

Anybody got any ideas?

I bought a good quality Acrylic bath about twelve months ago and because it had a plastic coating on it I left it outside to store it. I have now installed the bath, but the sun has now baked on the coating and made it very brittle and I cannot remove it, has anybody else experienced this problem, if so how did they overcome it?

Try filling the bath with hot water and 1/2 bottle of washing up liquid and leave over night.

Make sure if you have young/small children that they can't get into the bathroom.
