Hi all

I’m removing an internal supporting brick wall. on one side I’m leaving a 600mm return for the RSJ to sit on and the other side I’ve got to build a 600mm return as it’s currently a doorway, I can use 7.3N blocks but can I use the 100mm ones? ….. the original bricks are 110mm wide, it’s either that or use 140mm wide blocks which wouldn’t be the same as the bricks either. Does it matter?
The RSJ will only be 2300mm long and sit on 215mm padstones. Any help appreciated as always.
Thanks

The 100 mm blocks will be perfectly fine.

600mm is a big return - why not go smaller to give more space?

Thanks Tony, it’s having a kitchen fitted and it will have tall units upto the 600mm returns, leaving the returns allows me to put vertical radiators the other side for the dining room.
Thanks again
