Remove Skirting Or Not

I am having a room plastered soon and am undecided if I should remove the old skirting or not? It just your standard skirting nothing special but has turned a horrible yellow.

What do people recommend, remove or leave on. Is plastering to the skirting ok, clean finish?

If you leave it on, it wont look that good.
Take it off, then refit or get new, if you cant do the miters it shouldn't cost that much.

Always remove if you can

I had a customer the other week who was adamant she was keeping the skirting and stripping it back

Got a phone call the week after "can you help, we changed the skirting and it's taken the new plaster off with it"

But the customers always right lol!
