Removed a rad and boiler now won't get going

Hi all

I removed a rad downstairs to decorate and then found out the following morning that one of the elbow joints was dodgy due to it leaking. I have now capped it.

Any way I cannot now get my boiler working again. It fire's and then cuts out as if there is an air block.

I have tried to bleed the boiler and have tried to empty the system completely but this was incredibly slow and water slowly dripped out so even after 3 plus hours only the upstairs radiators could have the bleed valves open.

Is there anything else I can try before getting a plumber in as a DIYer?

Thanks for any advice in advance

There is some water escaping from somewhere on the boiler but it's holding 1.5bar ish or whatever I've filled it too. I bled the upstairs rads to make sure it wasn't that as that was as far as emptying the system got and even that wasn't far by the looks of it...

Think that's where I am now. I just didn't want to not do anything easy and then kick myself for being dumb...
