removeing latop screen

this may be a stupid question but i have a acer laptop and the backlight has gone i now use this on a external monitor what i wish to know is is it possible to remove the screen so i just have the laptop keyboard as it is in the way most of the time and it is of no use.
the screen has a built in web cam (also not used)
if this is possible how easy

ok so its a bit ott, but being as its a lap top there may be other parts of the computer sitting in "the lid" that also houses the screen

Buy a docking station (if available).

find the deconstruction guide for it using google and start fiddling with screwdrivers/chainsaws
