I have a mirror in my bathroom (approx 1500mm by 500mm) that is held to the wall with 'mirror mate' adhesive or something similar. There are no brackets and no screws. As far as I know, there's no safety backing either.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to remove it relatively safely?

Is there an adhesive coating that can be applied to the front to hold it together before attacking it?

Many thanks.

Cover it completely with duct tape, and gently tap it to break it.
You may need to chisel off any pieces stuck to your wall.
Wear safety glasses and gloves.
Vacuum up thoroughly afterwards.
