Hi Everyone, just joined up to these forums to see if someone can provide some advice on how to remove adhesive from a door frame.
When prepping the doorframe for staining, the paint from the inside of the frame was not coming off too well. I then discover that formica had been glued all around the door frame to cover where the door was hung previously. The hot air gun did enough to soften the glue to remove the formica, but now I am left with a shoddy surface.
The adhesive appears to be quite 'rubbery' and can be peeled off in little bits. Don't know what adhesive it is or how long it has been there.
