At present we have an airbrick which is connected to a bathroom extractor fan.

There seems to be nothing stopping the wind from howling through the brick and straight into the bathroom.

Can anyone suggest what the best course of action would be to solve the problem before winter?

Perhaps, post pics of inside the bathroom and outside, & transfer your post to the electricians forum.
