Removing caulking and cork

So, my old laminate flooring was obviously a DIY job (and not a very good one).

I'm having carpets down, and when removing the cork was was shoved in the expansion gap, I've found a section that was caulked on.

Any ideas how to get it off? If I try grab it with pliers, all I get is a few mm.

In order of increasing speed: Sharp wood chisel, multitool with scraper blade (noisy), long handle for scraper (manual) or electric floor scraper (hire in - they look like a big orbital sander with a flat blade instead of sandpaper and a long handle at the back so you can use them whilst standing)

Thing is, a given solution mughtvwofk in one floor, but not the next. Some experimentation be needed to arrive at the ideal solution
