Removing dent from wooden door

Oak veneer door has small dent on the opening edge, see pics below. Doesn't look as though the fibres are broken. I've seen articles and videos online re how to fix with damp cloth and heat source e.g. iron. However I'd be paranoid about causing damage to the door in attempting this e.g. the veneer that's close to said edge, or causing a colour change where the iron's applied.

The dent isn't overly big. What do you think, leave well alone?

Has anyone else ever noticed it?
One or two people have as the dent is near the middle of the door where you naturally reach for the handle. However as I say it's not massive and I'm erring more towards leaving it alone for fear of causing further damage.

If you hadn't have flagged it up on here I would never have noticed it, just like everyone else? Forget and move on
