Removing Ev-Stik Contact Adhesive from floor tiles

As per the title - the floor tiles in question are, I think, made from ceramic and have a brown slightly textured finish. I don't want to use a scraper as that will scratch them.

it normally comes offf with rubbing.
maybe a little bit of petrol?

Thanks. There's so much of it that I didn't think that rubbing with be practical (plus it has small pieces of foam attached to it) but petrol sounds like a good idea too.

Petrol will definetly shift it but it does stink.
