Just after a bit of advice please

I want to remove a gas fire, I will be getting a professional to do it, & want to cover up the hole after but my baxi back boiler is in there.

What material should I use to cover the hole, I intend to do it so when the boiler needs servicing it has easy access & what ventilation will the boiler need?

I have used the gas fire a couple of times in the last few years & it doesn't fit in with look of the room.

Thanks

The fire is an integral part of the boiler and cannot be removed without affecting the safety and operation of the boiler.
It is against regulations and illegal to do so.
The only option you have is a new boiler in a different location.
I hope you haven't removed ventilation "because it dosent fit in with the look of the room"

Oh nuts

I was hoping it would be an easy job

Thanks for the replies so will have to change things when I can afford a new boiler
