I am in the process of removing ceramic tiles from my kitchen and need to remove the timing switch casing for my central heating so i can get the tiles off easier. Does anyone know how to remove the front cover from the above honeywell. I presume there's a little screw on the underside and it'll lift away?
or is there some other way?[/b]

You've got it in one - although there are two screws

Slacken these screws and the complete timer will hinge up and can be removed from the backplate.

If you need to remove the backplate as well, make a careful written note of which wire goes to which terminal.

Remember to turn the power off before disconnecting the wires and protect the bare ends while you do any work.
