Removing lintel above wardrobe

If you know that the management co. will say no then do not do it.
There's a reason for management companies, they are there to protect the freeholders asset and to protect the other inhabitants of the block.
How would you like it you let someone stay in your house and they started chopping it about?? Or perhaps easier to comprehend, you lent them your car and they decided to cut the dash out, for whatever reason??
Don't do it!
Yes, can you imagine, you lent your car for 999 years and someone decided to chop the dash to actually install some improvements, how dare they?
I know that there's a management company and don't get me started what I think about all of this leasing stuff, they'll say no to putting a nail in a wall. As long as I would know that I'm not doing harm to the building and it's not some major change to the layout, management co don't really need to know about it and they will never know about it. And after around 975 years landlord can sue me for this.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. :(

All lintels are structural.
Live with it, or pay an SE for advice.
Well, that's the purpose of it, but if it's supporting the floor above, that's the question for SE to answer. Thanks

Knock off some more plaster - if you've already got to the top of the lintel in that picture it ain't supporting a floor in a block of flats. If it's deeper get rid of the coving and see what's going on at the top. I can't see why anyone would sit a 6 feet section of concrete floor on top of a wardrobe when the main wall is 2 feet further back.
