Removing loo screws

Hi,

I'm a novice trying to replace a loo seat. It's got corroded and I'm just left with these screws where the bolt is seized up (wd40 does nothing). There's no space either underneath or on top for my hack saw. They wont break as they aren't corroded enough. It's like I need bolt cutters but small and cheap enough to get in there. I've got a wickes next door almost but not seeing a small enough tool to do the job.

Any advice welcome.

A battery operated multi tool with a metal cutting blade is perfect for this situation.

Push the screw/bolt up and steady it with one hand and cut it with the other.

Pull the bolt upwards and cut it with your hacksaw, preferably with a new blade cos yours looks like it wouldn't cut butter !

Multi tool or Dremel. If not available, sometimes you just have to take the blade out of the hacksaw and use it on its own. You can wrap a bit of tape to protect the hands if you like. As mentioned before, invest in some fresh blades. Also put some tape around the hole to protect the porcelain. Usually need to only cut half way through the bolt before it will bend and fracture at the cut

Hacksaw won't work as it can't get low enough due to the nobbly bit at the end. Anyway, you can't push the screw up enough to get enough space between the head and the basin either. I'll go look for a multi tool or similar, thanks guys. Scabby hacksaw left by old builders.

The picture of the underside appears to show plenty of room to wield a junior hacksaw - why not cut the bolt there?

Good news. I went to Wickes to get a multi tool but the guy said that a junior hacksaw would do it. I was dubious but a tenner for one and spare blades has done the job. Thanks guys for your inputs.
