Removing nicotine/tar

Hi

I need to remove nicotine/tar build-up from a metal garage door and wonder whether anyone could give me some advice about what type of product to use. I was thinking along the lines of spray bleach, grease remover, sugar soap but do I need something a bit more 'industrial'?

I'm asking in this forum as I imagine some of you will have come across this problem in the course of your work before.

Paraffin or white spirit should do.
