Removing old toilet

What is the best way of getting the water out of the u bend after you have turned the water off....am about to do this so a quick reply would be appreciated

plunge your loo brush vigorously up and down in the water and you will push it over the bend.

use a very long straw!
No seriously, if u remove the pan without tilting, when removed tilt down at the back and empty water into a bucket or another wc.
simple as that
