Hello,

I'm hoping you can give me some advice on removing paint from pine floorboards. I would like to remove various splodges of paint from some old oiled pine floorboards. I have attached some example photos.

What would be the best way to do this? Is there a cleaner you'd recommend? If I need to sand areas how best to go about determining the correct colour oil to re-oil those patches with?

I'd like to avoid having to sand down and re-oil the entire floor!

Thanks for your help.

Peel Tec
Or
Meths and wire wool if water based paint but that's not great.

Sanding with remove but maybe not what you want so get some peel tec.

Wickes has it I think? Seen CT1 stand

If it’s emulsion then steel wool and soapy water will remove, if spirit based then dab with paint stripper and wipe off with white spirit .A wipe with danish oil should restore similar look.

Thanks for the advice - very helpful! Not being able to get to a Wickes easily, we've gone for paint stripper and wire wool which has worked well.
