Hi

I am in the process of redoing my hall, I have replaced the stairs which has left a different footprint, i have filled the 2" screed space with cement and am going to remove the Parquet flooring, there is bitumen left on the floor which was used to stick down the old floor, can i just use a self leveling compound over the top of this before putting a new floor surface down?

Thanks

Thanks Woodyoulike

Very informative, i think if i am to level the whole floor area, i may go for Amtico in the hall as it should be better for the foot traffic in a hall, the thought of those pointy high heals leaving dents in my new floor
