Hello
I was wondering if you could give me some advice.
The front wall of my old house (c1850) is not well insulated and lots of condensation is building up on the wall.
We have been advised by a surveyor to fit some insulating and moisture resistant plasterboard. i was thinking of removing the render and doing the dot and dab myself. I just have a couple of questions:
1. Is there anything I should beware of when removing the render? I removed some the other day and it seems to be about 2cm deep. Under this there is some wire mesh and under than a thin layer of wood.
2. How do I best remove it? With a hammer and chisel it will take me all week I suspect!
3. What type of plasterboard should I get. Is there one that is both insulating and moisture resistant?
Thanks
Tom
