It seems pretty obvious to erect a tower but until we've seen the full front elevation ie elevation and any obstacles below - and until we know what size section and length the material is it pays to go slow with saying exactly what the OP should do.
At that stage it could need a scaffold or something else. But we just dont know?

A back in the day example was of a householder and a helper erecting a scaff when all that was needed was to carry the short joists up the internal stairs to the loft.
