Renault Clio 1.6 Interior Light

Hello to one and all,

I've got another little problem, the light does'nt come on inside the car when the door is open.

So when I get in after work at 6pm and I've only got 20 seconds to get the key in the ignition before the immoboliser comes on again.

I've noticed that there is a hole in the door where I think the thing should be which turns off (or it could be the other way round I'm slightly confused) the light when the door is closed as a result the bulb was taken out by the previous owner.

Anyway is it something I can fix if not how much would it cost to fix?

sounds like the courtesy light switch has collapsed, that's what should be in the hole, but you may have to get to the back of it to find the wire what goes on the switch. if you can it's a straight forward job, get a new switch, connect the wire or wires to it, and put it in the hole, it might clip into the hole or maybe held in by a srew, put a bulb in and it should work
