I've had a few guys round to price up on rendering the exterior of my single storey extension. It's built from standard Celcon 3.5N blocks throughout with 100mm cavity.

My question is would any of you recommend stapling EML or Rendalath onto the blockwork prior to rendering the walls? I'm sure I've heard people recommend this in the past due to the nature of Aircrete, but only one of the people who priced the job even mentioned it.

Also, presumably, any EML used would need to be stainless?

What are your views?

You mean apply the base coat with added rendaid, and bed fibreglass cloth into the base coat, right?

apply any one of the above about 5mm then bed your mesh cloth in the top two thirds if you get my drift, then scratch and top as per.
