Renewing lockshields

Hi all

Hopefully a straight forward question!

I am going to renew all of the trvs in my house (drayton trv4 or danfoss rasc2 depending on availability locally).

Obviously some trvs include a lockshield in the pack as well. Is it worth renewing at the same time?

The reason it's not straight forward is that all of the current lockshields fitted in my house also have a drain point, where as the new ones would not. Does this matter?

If there is no need to renew the lockshield then I wont!

Thanks in advance.

Leave the lockshields alone ,changing them will require the system to be the balanced.

The system will still need to be balanced (assuming it was done previously) as the flow characteristics of the new TRVs may not be the same as the old ones.
