Renovating Rads

Hi All,

I have bought some old cast iron rads that need renovating.

Has anyone used a sandblaster ? Where can I hire one (I have looked at the main hire shops with no success) Is this a diy job or should I take them to a firm ? If so what firm would do this sort of work ?
