Hi,

I want to paint over an internal wall that is currently dark purple matt emulsion.

Having done a similar job some time ago and gone for the approach of applying multiple coats of the new colour until the old colour is gone, gone, gone I would like to know if there is a better way?

i.e. Is there a really good white undercoat that will obliterate the old colour in one coat?

Ta,
P

There USED to be some emulsions called Obliterating paint...for just that purpose and refurb work. Try googling obliterating emulsion
