Hi all
Rookie here. Just moved house, last people didn't look after the decking. Lots of footfall and weather wear, tons of rolled up peeled paint in all the grooves, some bits rotting etc.
Can't afford to replace it all yet, and think it'll do for a couple more years. I spent a few hours scrubbing it all down with a wire broom, then used that renewal treatment stuff and blasted it all inch by inch with the karcher.
It's now in the condition shown in the pics (3rd one is wet, but top v bottom shows what I'm on about with paint). Lots of it is stripped right back but the less weathered parts aren't. I don't want to hit it with the karcher again as some parts are starting to chip even on lower pressure.
As it's all been wire brushed and sprayed, do you reckon it'll look ok if I just overpaint it all in the same colour as before? Or will it look tons darker where it's still got the existing paint?
Should I get more aggressive with the wire brush and try to take it back more?
Cheers
Matt
