Ask your local stone worktop fitter, they use a clear epoxy to join the tops that is tinted to suit nthe stone. and then ground & polished I.ve had a heavily veined marble top done and you would not know (well the client has not seen it )

it's my own personal technique than involves a little rotary tool with a special blade to widen the crack with, and then filling it with epoxy glue to match the color. After proper curing (24 hours), you have to sand it flush with the surface of the stone, and use finer grit until you get a finish as close to factory as possible
