Hi I've removed the skirting and the concrete floor is pretty poor round the edges can I just repair these with something? The concrete has a DPM and its just round the edges.
You don’t want it touching the wall. I would leave it.
Doesn’t the skirting hide any gap?
There won’t be any load.
You could stabilise the screed with PVA to prevent it crumbling
What's going on top of it? If nothing, then yes, I'd look to fill it in with something supportive; normal cement mortar for example. If it's under eg kitchen cabinets, don't bother
Before laying laminate, focus on making the concrete edge stable and level. Use a patching compound to fill any holes or crumbling spots and smooth the surface so the laminate and underlayment sit flat. Tiny gaps under the trim aren’t a problem since laminate is a floating floor.
