Repair Fork & Spade Handle

Hi
Can anyone tell me where to get the rivets that hold wooden handles on to spades & fork? I think they are called Biffing something or other,

whats wrong with a couple of nails or screws?

If I was desperate I would cut a 6" nail down & use as a Rivet, Use a ball pein hammer for the riveting over.

Thanks for the tips. Never thought of using a nail to flatten the end. DOOH! Just focused on what was there.

Probably easier to go to an auction. I have recently bought two fabulous builder's shovels (very big and excellent quality) and they were a great bargain. Although, I did win the top raffle prize of £20 lol; got a free mountain bike with it lol.
