Hello

I have a solid oak floor and it's got some gouges in it. Looks like somebody had glass in their shoe when I had a party last year.

Has anyone used anything to repair gouges and deep lines in solid floors?

Thanks

What type of finish has your floor? If varnish or lacquer - sanding the whole floor is the best remedy then. Local sanding and applying varnish/lacquer only there will produce a patched look.
If oil (wax) finish: local sanding and applying a new coat of oil there. There will be colour difference in the beginning between the sanded and non-sanded part, but that will disappear over time (2 - 3 months)
