Repairing an asbestos roof

I have a hairline crack in a corrugated asbestos roof on my garage. It leaks a little when it rains enough.
What is the best way to repair this crack? I'd say the crack is about 8 inches long.

Ideally, you'd replace the asbestos as the thing will only get worse.

As a temporary alternative you could use bitumenous (sp?) paint, not cheap but avoids doing anything to the asbestos

It's a great solution, and many people use asphalt to patch it. However, it's not a long-term solution.

Can of spray bitumen sealer would do a small area cheaply.

Neither is keeping the asbestos roof.

Flash band works ok. Use the primer to get it to stick. Not a proper job but it'll keep the water out for a few more years.
