Hi there, I'm just giving my bathroom a lick of paint and wondered if there was anything I could do about my "blown" (cracked) MDF bath panels.

Other than the cracks, they're still in really good nick, so I don't really want to replace them - I just wondered if there was anything I could cover the cracks with - maybe a special tape (though there's not a lot of room) or a white sealant maybe.

My bathtub is enamel and, although white silicone sealant was added when the panels were installed (this looks grey in the photo), it's not been enough to prevent the cracking.

Any advice gratefully received, thanks!

How about a fake "frame" that sits on the surface all the way around? Or maybe just a strip along the top edge, if you don't think it will end up looking odd.
