Repairing Cracks on Skirting

I just ordered some skirting boards.

They are 3m long and have been primed twice and then painted with Satin White.

When I received them yesterday, they have a cracks along the entire ridge.

I suspect it's the paint.

What's the best way to repair this myself?

Are they MDF?

Which paints did you use?

If I had to make a guess I might jump to the conclusion that you used waterbased paints and the MDF "cupped" as a result of expanding on the painted side but not on the unpainted side.

It was painted by the company who sold it to me. They used Satin paint after 2 coats of primer.
