My sad flooring story ... help!
Thick wooden engineered T&G (1/2") on insulated underlay on parquet (bitumen adhesive) on herringbone wooden block (bitumen adhesive) to concrete floor. This in both hall way and dining room.
Have removed this all and left with concrete with residual bitumen, but ...
In the hall way there is evidence of a) damp patch and b) there is a long crack and in the dining room there is also some evidence of damp at some point.
How should I go about repairing the concrete floor? It appears to be perhaps 1/2"-3/4" thick possibly also with a bitumen/tar seal/membrane underneath it. Do I need to remove it all, reseal with something and then lay new concrete screed?
All help appreciated as I want to tile this once repaired
