My double glazing is getting the misty condensation problem I have been told they can be repaired or reglazed and not sure what this entails or if it would e better to replace the whole windows. The frames seem absolutely fine and not all the units have gone misty. Any comments from anyone who knows would be great. The salesmen obviously want to sell me new windows and the prices seem exorbitant. I amout of my depth and need to know who to trust and what the facts are. Any recommendations would be good I am in Bethnal green. I did find a window on ebay that would fit but having difficulty finding a builder willing to put it in. Help please. Sarah

It sounds like just the sealed unit needs replacing, they have a lifespan typically of about 10 years. Should cost around £50 or so for the unit and the same again for fitting or you can fit yourself if you're up for it. No need for a whole new window at all. Dozens of similar threads to this in the Windows Section, have a search.

Its your sealed units that have broken down, you dont have to replace your windows. If you go on google and type in sealed unit replacement london, you can find loads of companies that can help you. If they try to sell you new windows tell them politely to bog off.
