I'm thinking of using vinyl floor tiles in a workshop/games room laid over a plywood floor.

If they get damaged are they easily removable to put down new tiles. If so what is the method?

I will be using F44 water based adhesive.

Use a spatula like 75mm wallpaper scraper.
Slit the tile with criss-cross cuts using a utility knife.
You could gently heat the tile to be removed but careful not to heat up the surrounding tiles.
