Hi all I'm 'lucky' enough to live in a grade 2 listed house with wooden guttering. The gutters have split in places and have started to leak so need repairing and I wanted to run my plan by you guys before buying the gear, etc...

So the plan is to keep things simple, one coat of bitumen paint inside the gutter, line with felt, allow 24 hours to dry before a final coat of bitumen. Does that sound OK?

Cheers

There isn't any lining in the guttering at all. Lead would be best I guess but tar and felt is cheaper, I hope I'll get a good few years out of it before it needs re-doing.
