A couple of years ago I laid a very expensive walnut (real wood) floor. It really is lovely and I am very proud of it and want to keep it nice.
Unfortunately over time some items have been dropped on it (mostly by me!) which have made small indentations. Although they are not highly noticeable you can see them especially when caught by the light.
Does anyone know how I can fill them (and with what) and make them vanish? I don't want to get into sanding and re-varnishing the floor which is quite large.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

If you locally sand a varnished floor to repair damage and re-varnish you run the high risk to end up with a patchy floor (new varnish overlapping old varnish, different colour in re-sanded area etc).
