Hello,

We are looking to replace the Danfoss 9000MA-Si controller for our Fusion Comet boiler with Hive.

Upon removing the controller from its backplate, we see the cables as per the attached image - essentially:

* N and L have a couple of permanently affixed cables each
* 1 and 2 are empty
* 3 and 4 are connected as expected

[Note: 5 and 6 are, we believe, an remote temperature sensor that will be disconnected.]

Can you please advise if we can simply proceed by keeping the wiring exactly the same in Hive, ie. leave 1 and 2 empty, connect 3 and 4 and leave two cables to each of N and L?

Everything is currently operating as we expect it to be and the terminal positions seem to be a one-to-one mapping for the same functionality, but we just wanted to check before proceeding.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can kindly provide!

Simon

The wires going to the N & L terminals at the Danfoss will go to the N & L at the Hive.

For Danfoss Controls, terminal 3 is usually 'Hot Water On' and terminal 4 is usually 'Central Heating on' and as you suspect 5 & 6 are for a remote sensor. However, I have never seen a 9000MA-Si, (or a Fusion Comet electric boiler for that matter), so you will need to check with the 9000MA-Si instructions to check this is correct before proceeding.

If this is correct, then it corresponds exactly with the Hive (dual channel version). So, 3 = Hot Water On, and 4 = Heating On.
