Hello,

I'd like to replace (what I assume is) a Euro cylinder on a front door lock.

I am confused though as from what I can see there should be a retaining screw to hold the cylinder in place but there is no space for it. See attached pic

How do I remove this cylinder?

I'm sure this is probably something straight forward so apologies in advance.

H

The retaining screw is usually where the lock is sited in the side part of the door. (About where your text is on that photo). You also need to know the measurement as there’s usually 2 different lengths. Why are you replacing it?

Sorry, not sure what you mean by "the side part of the door"
There is a thumb turn on the inside of the door.

Where the door lock and catch protrude from the door sash , unscrew that plate , you will probably find the euro cylinder fixing screw there
