Hi. I finally got to the bottom of this. The glazing unit is wider than the opening plus one side of the frame. It won't ever slide over enough to come out. It must have been installed when the frame was put together. At least I know now. I'll get another piece which is narrow enough to fit it and break this one to get it out. Thanks again for your advice
