Renovating a room, have insulated and plasterboarded walls. While removing the coving with a breaking bar some parts of the ceiling seemed a bit "soft", in that they moved / bent a bit when forced. Not loads, just a bit. I noticed that the builders put in some extra screws when closing up the chimney hole.
Seeing that I am doing a refurb, do you think I should replace the ceiling too? Seems a bit too much, but also, long-term might be sensible? All is dry, so maybe just treat it from the loft with wood preserve instead? Or do nothing?
