I've got an old 8x12 wooden shed that needs replacing, got the opportunity of a 8ft6x18ft concrete sectional garage, the base is over a metre from the boundary and the garage is just over 2 metres high, is there any problem doing this, do I need any permissions from planning or building control. Thanks Phil

I don’t believe that you have any worries (not an expert) so long as it is below 2.5m?
I’d see if I could manage to maximise the roof space if possible. (Height)

personally I would also be tempted (space allowing) to continue the roof so it sticks out one end or both, using posts if needed, providing a dry workplace outside. Assuming you ride a Guzzi, a sheltered spot outdoors can be bloody handy.

assuming the shed has power, add decent lighting with LED panels and fit sockets inside with one outside (suitably protected) I’d also paint the floor and walls while building.
