DIYheadache, Hi

Some suggestions you May??? want to consider??? I stress consider??

Agree with items 1 / 4 above, and you will probably require a Vapour Barrier behind the internal plasterboard?

Now for the further Consideration bit?

If the roof is felt, why not consider having a shallow fall on the roof, sloping slightly from back to front? plus have the roof overhang a small amount to do two things, encourage rain water to fall forward and off the roof? the slope made does not have to be large, just enough to encourage water to run off? as for roof covering, how about you consider either Lead or a lead substitute? one point to watch is that there should be an up-stand flashing with the top end of the flashing taken into a horizontal groove in the brick and sealed with a mastic.

As for the ply? if you do opt for either ply or solid timber, suggest you consider applying the primer and at least one undercoat prior to fabrication, if you can get it apply one coat of gloss at the pre fabrication stage, this to prevent rot occurring on the inner surfaces? the paint protection must be taken over all the edges and ends of the boards, whether ply or solid wood, assists preservation

Now for a possibly radical concept? how about you consider using plastic? the type of material used in replacement eaves and facias?

Hope this is food for thought?

Ken.
