My shed has a standard 15 to 12 degree incline and I put onduline sheeting over it.

The roof needs to have a much larger overhang so that horizontal rain, of which there is a lot of, does not drive into the shed. And a larger overhang gives me a bigger roof area for solar panels etc.

So I was thinking of constructing 3"x2" CLS timber frame, basically have one going parallel and another built on top going at 90 degrees (so 2 frames put on top of each other) to extend the overhang over all 4 walls. I would build this on the floor and then hoist it onto the shed later on.

This is basically a roof design question. I don't want to create a sloping triangular roof as I'm not an joiner and just have basic carpentry skills extending to creating a suspended ceiling.

Has anyone tried this? Advice please thanks
